Presentations/Topics:

Chuck Gelm will show off his solar array / battery system, capable of powering the furnace and refrigerator during a power outage. A web-based display includes various dynamically-generated graphs.

Components:

  • A solar power system; up to 1300 watt PV panels
  • 24 volt 100 AH battery
  • All-In-One controller, charger, 3000 watt AC output inverter
  • backup dual fuel 2500 watt inverter power unit

Runs about a 60 watt load 24/7/365 of:

  • 3 Wi-Fi devices
  • VLAN switch
  • IP phone
  • 16 port ethernet switch
  • A small linux laptop which gathers data from the All-In-One, stores the data, and generates dynamic graphs (PHPlot) web pages
