We will also have an online presence via the Zoom web conferencing service.
Meeting ID: 876 0225 4357

If joining a meeting from a Windows PC, the Zoom client will automagically download and attempt to install. For those using Linux, you can download the free (not Free) Zoom client from this page. It’s available for a variety of distributions.

For those attending in person, we will most likely adjourn to Milano’s afterward for food and socializing.

Chuck Gelm will show off his solar array / battery system, capable of powering the furnace and refrigerator during a power outage. A web-based display includes various dynamically-generated graphs.

  • A solar power system; up to 1300 watt PV panels
  • 24 volt 100 AH battery
  • All-In-One controller, charger, 3000 watt AC output inverter
  • backup dual fuel 2500 watt inverter power unit

Runs about a 60 watt load 24/7/365 of:

  • 3 Wi-Fi devices
  • VLAN switch
  • IP phone
  • 16 port ethernet switch
  • A small linux laptop which gathers data from the All-In-One, stores the data, and generates dynamic graphs (PHPlot) web pages

As always, any news, discussions, and questions about Linux / Open Source topics are welcome.
